All dogs, regardless of breed, size, or age, can benefit from good leadership, exercise, and training.

Canine companions need to be taught appropriate behavior calmly, gently, and--most important--humanely. This can be accomplished through the use of positive reinforcement training methods. Positive reinforcement training focuses on rewarding your dog immediately after he does something you want him to. Because your praise and reward makes him more likely to repeat that behavior, it is one of the most powerful tools for shaping your dog’s behavior. By receiving rewards for desired behaviors, your dog learns to how to do the right thing, rather than how to avoid doing the wrong thing.
